Programming contestsKTH has held regular programming contest training since 2000. Training sessions are traditionally held once a week, in the evening, in computer room Orange. The difficulty level is set to best help our bachelor students grow their skills and prepare for international contests. In addition to trainings we hold several larger contests a year, including sites for NCPC and (historically) Google Hashcode, some of the gymnasium level Programmeringsolympiaden finals and regional BOI, and our very own KTH Challenge. We send our students to NWERC and sometimes to ICPC. Trainings are open and everyone is welcome (including gymnasieelever!). The problems range widely in difficulty, so there's always something easier to try out if you're new. Join our discord for more information! NewsWe have created a competitive programming club (2025-04-24)We have created a competitive programming club for the competitive programming at KTH! We have registered it at skatteverket. The goal is to become a student organization, allowing us to more easily organize events at KTH! Here is the membership form. (it is free to join).KTH Challenge 2025KTH own programming contest KTH Challenge 2025 is finally back! It will be held on May 10th, in room 3418, Math department, Lindstedtsvägen 25, floor 5. It is possible to compete online or onsite, but only onsite participants can win prizes.NWERC 2024NWERC 2024 was held on the 22-24th November, again in Delft. KTH sent one team, grinders. The team had a great start in the first couple of hours of the contest. Unfortunately, this was not enough to qualify to the finals or the EUC. See the scoreboard. We again stayed at the "Ikea hotel" on Olof Palme's street in Delft. The teams from Chalmers also stayed at the same hotel.NCPC 2024NCPC 2024 will be held on the 5th of October. The rules are similar to last year. You have to compete onsite. Each time is only allowed to use 1 computer and no internet/ no AI is allowed.NWERC 2023NWERC 2023 was held on the 24-26th November, again in Delft. KTH sent three team, dagy boysen, Py=3.14 and Vikings of Code. Unfortunately, none of the teams qualified to the finals. See the scoreboard. We stayed at the "Ikea hotel" on Olof Palme's street in Delft.NCPC 2023NCPC 2023 will be held on the 7th of October. This year there are no more corona rules. So to compete your team will have to compete onsite. You are allowed to use your own computer but you are not allowed to use the internet. But you are only allowed to use 1 computer. New for this year is that any use of AI such as ChatGPT is explicitily disallowed.ICPC Finals 2022In the beginning of November a team from KTH will competed in the world finals in Bangladesh! The qualifier for this finals happened back in 2020, but because of Covid the finals were moved to 2022. The result was a 13th place! See the scoreboard. Unfortunately, just one position from a medal.NWERC 2022NWERC 2022 was held on the 25-27th November in Delft. KTH sent one team, cyanforces, which got 20th place! See the scoreboard.NCPC 2022NCPC 2022 will be held on the 8th of October. This year there are no more corona rules. So to compete your team will have to compete onsite. You are allowed to use your own computer and use the internet. But you are only allowed to use 1 computer. Registration closes on October the 5th.KTH Challenge 2022KTH yearly programming contest KTH Challenge 2022 will happen on the 7th of May. Unlike the previous two years, KTH Challenge 2022 will be held physically on KTH campus. But it is also possible to partake online. The rooms booked for the contest are V21 and V22.NCPC 2021NCPC 2021 will be held on the 9th of October. Similar to last year, the contest will be hosted online due to Covid. Big congratulations to the KTH team Cyanforces for a comming 2nd place and qualifying to the ICPC World Finals 2021! The final is expected to happen sometimes in mid 2022 because of the ongoing pandemic.Nordic Collegiate Programming Contest 2020Congratulations to the 200 teams that attempted this year's NCPC. Things were a little unusual with 3 computers per team and most people participating from home, but the contest was a success. "Bohemian Troika Jams" from KTH (Joakim Blikstad, Tobias Glimmerfors, and Herman Karlsson) came in 6th. See results.Möja Bootcamp 2019Kodsport Sverige organized a programming contest training camp on the island of Möja. Gymnasium and bachelor students spend a long weekend out in the archipelago doing contests, listening to lectures, and playing board games. The top competitors from KTH Challenge 2019 got several spots in the camp. Look forward to more bootcamps in 2021 or 2022! |
