Abstract

Google has recently introduced the Go programming lan- guage which is said to be a modern alternative to elder, more established programming languages. Google argues that Go is especially competitive in certain areas such as development time and in concurrency. Both these claims and Go in general are analysed in the report. The research concludes that Google’s claims seems to be true and the future of Go looks promising.
