Fireworks simulation in Blender

Abstract

This report is written in order to evaluate how suitable the 3D modeling software Blender and its particle system is for simulating fireworks. The document begins with background on particle systems in general and continues with particle systems in Blender in particular. The section Simuleringar describes two simulations and the particle systems used in these. The results are then followed by analyses that seek to explain what was important from a technical and an aesthetic point of view and what shortcomings that have been identified. Finally, the report discusses suggestions for improvement that could have been applied, lack of functionality in Blender and other findings concerning firework simulation with Blenders particle systems.
