    bought the wrong book

    Boken behövde sällan användas. För pratig: de uppgifter som behövdes gick ofta att uttrycka mycket mer kortfattat utan att förlora någon information. Ofta svaga/bristfälliga bevis.

    boring examples and the book was more like an reference book than a school book;
    the book was sometimes too advanced for the course level;

    Sometimes hard to understand (Mästerprovet)

    A bit hard but fun problems.

    working on the mästarprov helped much to understand the issues of the lectures better;
    exercise problems were ok, very close to the lecture (good!)-> also helpful for the understanding

    Didnt do many by myself, exercises were more of a second repetitive lecture where i took notes.

    sometimes a little bit too theoretic

    Comments:

    Ofta på för enkel nivå.

    Gränsvärden studeras i ettan (åtminstone på F). Onödigt att slösa tid på första övningen åt det eftersom alla ändå torde ha läst en kurs som innehåller det.

    It was sometimes hard to follow the explanations (they were a little bit diffuse) and to read the writing on the blackboard; but you could always ask for further explanation (good)

  10. Suggestions for improvements:

    Skulle vara bra med mindre repetition från tidigare matte- och datakurser. I början var det väldigt mycket repetition från F-kursen Grundläggande datalogi. Om man vill förklara något resultat från den kursen på djupare nivå kan man göra det mycket snabbare eftersom algoritmerna redan torde vara kända.

    This felt like a very theoretical course, but it would have been nice with some more discussions about the real-world implications of what we learnt.

    Korrläs hemsidan! Det stod på någon sida (på svenska dessutom!) att man skulle anmäla sig till en redovisningstid för mästarproven innan de lämnas in och att redovisningen skulle ske samma vecka som lösningarna lämnades in. Det kändes lite skumt när sista tid för inlämning var sent på en fredag (redovisning på fredagskvällen och under helgen?). Det gick inte heller ens att boka tid innan man lämnade in. Det stod att man skulle använda något "bok"-kommando för att boka redovisning, men i själva verket skedde bokningen på en Internet-sida.

    Interesting course, very stimulating (hjärngympa). The course covering one and a half periods was a good thing, most parts of the course felt like they were thoroughly covered!
