Course outline

The course consists of 11 lectures and four mandatory labs. Preliminary content for the lectures is listed in the course plan that can be found form the course main page. Labs are done in groups of two or three and are reviewed during the scheduled labs.

Examination

Examination comprises both four lab reviews (3 ECTS) and an exam (3 ECTS). For each lab that is reviewed in time, you get 1 lab credit. That gives a maximum of 4 lab credits. Lab credits are added on top of the exam result when calculating final exam result. Lab results may not be saved to forthcoming years. Thus, if not all labs are reviewed during the course, all labs must be done during a later course.

Registration

If you want to attend the course, you should contact your student office (kansli/studievägledning) of your study programme. There is no maximum of participants, but note the course prerequisits listed in the study handbook.

As soon as the course has started you have to sign up for the course (in previous years this was done by making a "X" in the course participants list). Go to the course credit system RAPP.
Log in using your KTH log in name. In the entry page, you find a list of courses. Select "DD2432". Click on the button to be "Active". Common problems: 1) If you do not have a KTH-ID, you need to talk to the teacher Erik Fransen about getting one. 2) If you have a KTH-ID but you can not log in, please talk to Irene Hanke at the CSC student desk (E-building, ground floor). 3) If you can log in, but you do not have our course in your list of courses, please talk to Irene Hanke at the CSC student desk (E-building, ground floor).
