I am one of the founders of the open source project FEniCS, offering tools for simulation based on differential equations, with the vision of an automation of Computational Mathematical Modeling. In particular, I am involved in the development of the following components:

DOLFIN: a C++/Python implementation of FEniCS in the form of a problem solving environment for differential equations using adaptive finite element methods.

Unicorn: an adaptive finite element solver for fluid and structure mechanics, including compressible/incompressible flow, turbulence and fluid-structure interaction problems.

Puffin is a minimal Matlab/Octave implemention of FEniCS suitable for educational purposes.
