Jonas Gårding

I was a researcher in computer vision and associated areas at the Computational Vision and Active Perception laboratory (CVAP) at KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) between 1986 and 1996, first as a graduate student and then (from 1991) as an assistant professor (forskarassistent). During 1992-93 I was a visiting research fellow at Sheffield University, UK. In 1996 I earned the docent title. Later that year I left KTH and joined Elekta to work on image guided neurosurgery.

My research areas included many aspects of human and machine vision, in particular estimation of surface shape from monocular and binocular visual cues, computational modelling of human vision, fusion of data from multiple cues, and visually guided behaviors.
