A luggage always lost
Bulgaria, the land of eternally bad weather, hours long passport control lines and restaurants that never manage to prepare even a salad in less than 90 minutes. One of the best places to have a conference in, it turns out. The RANLP conference is very nice. I did not bring a camera, but Nicolas Hernandez and Elena Filatova sent me some pictures. Probably I have some of Johnny's pictures too, but I can't find them now.
Of course, as usual when travelling with Johnny, we had to stay another hour at the airport describing his luggage, since it always gets lost. This time was no exception.
During our stay someone killed the Swedish foreign minister back in Sweden, which was even on the news in Bulgaria. The killer is still in the news from time to time (though he is behind bars now).
