Sara Zahedi

I am a PhD student in the Numerical Analysis group at the Royal Institute of Technology. My PhD position was appointed by the President of KTH (excellenstjänst). My research concerns development of accurate numerical methods for multiphase flow simulations. Take a look at my research. I teach in both undergraduate and graduate courses and I am mentor for master students. Click on Teaching for more information. My supervisor is Professor Gunilla Kreiss and my co-advisor is Professor Anna-Karin Tornberg.

I represent the PhD students at the Department of Numerical Analysis in the program committee of the doctoral program in Applied and Computational Mathematics and in the postgraduate students' council at the School of Computer Science and Communication at KTH.

I defended my thesis Numerical Methods for Fluid Interface Problems on May 20 2011 and the external reviewer was Prof. Ragnar Winther. From July 1 I will be at the Department of Information Technology at Uppsala University. Kaspar Muller will replace me as the PhD representative from the Numerical Analysis group from July 1, 2011.
