The analysis, development and implementation of the adaptive finite element method for fluid-structure interaction problem connected to medical applications are aimed in my research. The focus at the moment lies in modeling the human heart based on the Navier Stokes equation for incompressible flows using the stabilized Galerkin finite element method. We are interested in enhancing our research into the field of geometric modeling based on image analysis, multiphysics and visualization.
