Can a Computer Be Intelligent?

Abstract
 
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is commonly known today as something you would see in a Science Fiction movie with intelligent robots and machines. The things that are implemented today and people refer to as AI are widely used all around the market in places such as games, robots and web based computer scripts. The question is though if these scripts, programs and "smart solutions" an be called intelligent? Can a computer ever be intelligent? To be able to answer this question you would have to define what AI actually means. An approach to this has been done by several professors and doctors specialized in AI but certainly everyone has their own opinion.

In this paper we aim to present and conclude the arguments from the opposing sides of the battle between the sides of "Is artificial intelligence possible?", discuss these arguments and present our own ideas about it. Our aim is to present our ideas without forcing them to the reader. This meaning that we leave room for the reader to judge, keep his/her opinion or to have a sudden change of heart throughout the discussion.
