DT2140 Multimodal interfacesLaboratory exercise 4: Haptic interfacesTask: To build a simple haptic and auditive virtual environment for data exploration. The objective of the exercise is to give the students a basic hands-on experience with haptic feedback interfaces as well as illustrating the benefit of using alternative modalities and the importance of addressing specific collaborative behaviours during problem solving. Software & equipment: A software development platform for multi-sensory applications called H3D API, two hardware devices called Falcon and a pair of speakers. Note: It is possible to download H3D to your computer and do the task on your own but the application has to be tested with the Falcon devices at the lab at KTH. You have to present the solution at the scheduled exercise session.
