Try KatageWe want to decrease the amount of health care acquired infections, by decreasing the amount of health care acquired infections from cathether treatments. Our system can help shorten catheterization duration.
Katage provides an unified model for documenting cathether treatments to simplfy communication between different parties. By collecting data about treatments we provide a foundation for a support system for catheter usage.
To ensure equal health care quality in all of Sweden Katage aims for a nationnwide implementation. This will also improve the support system for catheter usage which will improve patient care.
This project is performed by a group of seven KTH students as a part of the course Cooperative IT-design during the fall of 2015. The prototype created is produced for an ongoing project at the Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge managed by Helena Thulin and Märta Lauritzen. Our goal is to use this prototype to address a pressing problem of today’s healthcare system and present a possible solution that could be implemented.
