European Commission Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie European Training Network Four year duration (commencing Jan 2020), €4M total project funding CLIPE, Creating Lively Interactive Populated Environments, train a generation of innovators and researchers in the field of virtual characters simulation and animation and help bringing Europe at the forefront of the field by addressing the most important aspects of the problem. These include making the characters capable of behaving more naturally, interacting with real users sharing a virtual experience with them and being more intuitively and extensively controllable for virtual worlds designers. Consortium: University of Cyprus • Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya • INRIA • KTH Royal Institute of Technology • University College London • Trinity College Dublin • Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems • Ecole Polytechnique • Silversky3d • Treedy’s SPRL • British Broadcasting Corporation • Amazon.com • Studio Gobo • Uber BV European Commission Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska Curie European Training Network Four year duration (commencing Jan 2018), €3.9M total project funding ANIMATAS will establish a leading European Training Network (ETN) devoted to the development of a new generation of creative and critical research leaders and innovators who have a skill-set tailored for the creation of social capabilities necessary for realising step changes in the development of intuitive human-machine interaction (HMI) in educational settings. This project aims to develop an interactive planning tool supporting digital transport declarations. The interactive model, providing a real-time visualisation of buildings and the effects of localisation on traffic, serves as a support for stakeholders who participate in the planning process and can thereby contribute to the development of a transport-efficient society.
