Chapter 2: Review of multi-scale analysis

In Chapter 2 of Scale-Space Theory in Computer Vision, a summary is given of basic properties of scale-space and related multi-scale representations, notably, pyramids, wavelets, and regularization. A number of special properties of the scale-space representation are listed, and the different multi-scale approaches are compared.
