The Brynielsson Reunion August 3-5 2001 at Borgholm, Öland, Sweden

Three years ago Joel Brynielsson (#16121) started to store relative information on an Internet web site. All relatives were sorted after the simple number system developed by Eric Brynielsson (#161) during 1970. The contacts between the relatives started to grow and today there are lots of information on the web site such as pictures, letters, and a database of all relatives, some with personal information and photo. The web site address is http://www.brynielsson.jole.com. To examine it in depth, you will need to use a password. Please e-mail Joel to obtain this password. If you are interested to update you have to ask for a personal password.

Now it is time for a big family reunion. This will take place in the beginning of August 2001. We will meet on Öland to celebrate our roots and get to know each other. All relatives with family are invited and we really look forward to your participation.

The Reunion 2001 is planned as follows:

Friday August 3	18:30	We meet in Borgholm for a welcome buffet.
Saturday August 4	10:00-12:00	Transport (bus and cars) organised from Borgholm to the Brynielsson's windmill.After a short walk of 150 metres we reach Norrgården in Svarteberga. Family Axelsson, the present owner of the farm, welcomes us to visit their facilities. We look at the farm in small groups.
	12:00-13:30	A real Swedish coffee table (kafferep) with more than 7 different types of cakes and cookies in Svarteberga at Maj-Britt (#1141) and Bertil (#1141A) Nilsson's farm.
	13:30-15:00	Walk or bus to Räpplinge Church where Ingegerd Brynielsson (#148) and Margareta Åberg (#163) will guide us.
	15:00	Transportation back to Borgholm.
	19:00	The Reunion Dinner. Speeches. Entertainment.
Sunday August 5	10:00-16:00	Crystal Kingdom in Småland (Orrefors, Kosta, Boda) with chartered bus for those interested. Price about 100 SEK.
	19:00-	Farewell buffet in Borgholm.

The cost for this event is calculated to approximately $ 100 per adult. To cover our initial costs we want you to pay $ 40 in advance by check to Bill Johnson, 12150 Dolphin Lane, 334 71 Moore Haven, Florida (phone 863 675 4495) not later than April 1.

The price includes Welcome buffet, "kafferep", Reunion dinner, Farewell buffet (without beverages), bus transport, and guiding. The final cost will be adjusted during the event.

Everybody has to arrange his/her own travel to and from the Reunion. To reach Borgholm, the nearest airport is Kalmar, which has direct flights from both Copenhagen/Denmark and Stockholm/Sweden. The local bus from the airport via Kalmar to Borgholm costs about $ 5 and takes about one hour. Direct bus is available from Stockholm to Borgholm and costs about $ 25 and takes 6 hours. Cars can be leased from any airport but should be reserved in advance.

In order to allow everyone to choose their own accommodation in Borgholm we suggest that you contact some of the following alternatives. We have, where possible, reserved some rooms until April 1 (ask for the Magnus Brynielsson reservation). Brynielssons släktträff 3-5 augusti 2001 på Borgholm, Öland, Sverige

För tre år sedan påbörjade Joel Brynielsson (#16121) arbetet med att lägga upp en hemsida med släktinformation på internet. Alla släktingar sorterades in enligt ett enkelt system som utvecklats av Eric Brynielsson (#161) på 1970-talet. Gradvis ökade kontakterna mellan olika släktingar och idag finns därför en hel del information på hemsidan, bl. a. bilder, gamla brev och en databas över alla släktingar med personuppgifter och foto. Vill du själv uppdatera måste du be om ett personligt lösenord.

Det är nu tid att ordna en stor släktträff. Denna planeras till början av augusti 2001. Vi kommer att mötas på Öland för att fira vårt gemensamma ursprung och lära känna varandra. Alla släktingar med familj inviteras och hälsas hjärtligt välkomna.

Släktträffen 2001 planeras enligt följande:

Lördag 4 augusti	10:00-12:00	Transport (buss och bil) från Borgholm till Brynielssons kvarn. Efter en kort promenad på 150 meter når vi Norrgården i Svarteberga by. Familjen Axelsson, som numera äger gården, välkomnar oss att besöka deras ägor. Vi tittar på gården i små grupper.
	12:00-13:30	Ett äkta svenskt kafferep med mer än 7 sorters kakor serveras i Svarteberga på Maj-Britt (#1141) och Bertil (#1141A) Nilssons gård strax intill Norrgården.
	13:30-15:00	Promenad eller buss till Räpplinge Kyrka där Ingegerd Brynielsson (#148) och Margareta Åberg (#163) guidar oss.
	15:00	Transport tillbaka till Borgholm.
	19:00	Middag med tal och underhållning.
Söndag 5 augusti	10:00-16:00	Glasbruken i Småland (Orrefors, Kosta, Boda) besöks med chartrad buss för de som är intresserade. Pris omkring 100 kr.
	19:00-	Avskedsbuffé i Borgholm.

Kostnaden för släktträffen har beräknats till omkring 1000 kr per vuxen person. För att täcka kostnaderna vill vi att ni senast den 1:a april betalar in 400 kr till Magnus Brynielsson, personkonto 590326-2995, och talar om hur många som kommer.

Priset inkluderar välkomstbuffé, kafferep, middag, avskedsbuffé (utan dryck till maten), busstransport och guidning. Den slutgiltiga kostnaden kommer att justeras under träffen.

Alla ombeds att själva arrangera resan till och från släktträffen samt uppehället i Borgholm. Det finns buss från Kalmar flygplats (via Kalmar) till Borgholm som tar 1 timme och kostar omkring 50 kr. Direktbuss (Silverpilen) finns också från Stockholm till Borgholm och kostar omkring 300 kr.

Vi har kontaktat ett antal hotell och pensionat i Borgholm. Där det varit möjligt har vi reserverat rum fram till den 1:a april. Fråga efter Magnus Brynielssons reservation.
